UV Soft Octopus Skirt Fishing Bait Solid Silver 10 Inch

Silver is a flash colour, not a pattern colour. In clear blue water under hard sun it lights up from every angle and gets seen from a long way off — which is exactly what you want when the fish are hunting by sight and sitting deep.

When to run solid silver

• Water: Clear blue, 100 ft+ visibility
• Light: Bright sun, flat water
• Species: Tuna, and anything keyed on small baitfish

Run it over a clear resin or polished stainless head and you are stacking reflective surfaces rather than fighting them.

Why the 10" length

The middle of the three stocked lengths, and the one to start with if you are only buying one size. Yellowfin, mahi mahi, and general-purpose mixed spreads.

Specifications

• Length: 10" / 26 cm

One skirt is not a spread

The most common colour mistake is not picking the wrong one — it is picking one and running five of it. A spread is a test: every position is a question you are asking the ocean. Run at least one dark and one bright, and when something gets eaten twice, switch a second lure to match it. Our trolling lure colour guide works through water clarity, light and species in full.

To cover the range in one go, the same skirt comes as a 3-piece set across all colours and lengths. To match it to a head, start with tuna trolling lures, or browse the resin heads and stainless heads.
